Club Social y Deportivo Yacyretá
The institution is financed by the binational entity and managed by a committee responsible for promoting sports and social activities. Currently, the club has more than 600 individual members, in addition to the employees of EBY.
Members have access to various sports activities, including Swiss and field soccer, tennis, figure skating, swimming, taekwondo, as well as courts for volleyball, basketball, paddle, futsal, ballet, chess, a gym, and boxing classes with the renowned former Paraguayan boxer Juan Carlos “El Toro” Giménez.
Likewise, the children of members participate in piano and accordion classes led by Maestro Martin González, and families enjoy the club’s beach on the shores of the Aña Cuá arm during weekends.
The club’s facilities include a restaurant, an air-conditioned multipurpose hall, a track, and a barbecue area next to the beach.
Over the years, the Club Social y Deportivo Yacyretá has gained prestige by winning several trophies at the national and international levels in various sports.
The construction and foundation of this sports complex began on March 6, 1986, thanks to Resolution No. 07/86 of the Yacyretá Binational Entity (EBY), making it one of the best recreational and sports complexes in the country.
