Yacyretá Hydroelectric Dam

The hydroelectric plant The building stands 70 meters high, 80 meters wide, and 816 meters long, roughly equivalent to a 20-story building covering an area of 8 city blocks. Inside, the powerhouse houses 20 powerful hydro generators, known as Kaplan turbines.

TOURIST VISIT

Visits to the Hydroelectric Complex are free and take place every day at 9:00 am, 11:00 am, and 2:00 pm from the Visitors Center in the town of Ituzaingó.

The tour includes transportation to the Hydroelectric Dam, accompanied by guides, with a pre-visit 8-minute video presentation.

Documentation required for entry to the Power Plant:

Argentine residents: National Identity Document.

Foreign tourists: Must present their passport. Residents of MERCOSUR countries can enter with their National Documents; a passport is not necessary.

Minors must present their ID and Birth Certificate or Family Booklet if accompanied by both parents. Otherwise, they must have the appropriate authorization signed before a notary public or the corresponding judge.
