Santa Maria Natural Reserve
Located 12 km from Ituzaingó, it is a great plan to enjoy with the family.
It is an expanse of open grasslands and small clusters of native shrubs and trees, with a wide variety of flora and fauna species.
Visitors can walk the 200 meters of the “Tachurí Coludo” boardwalk to the “Ernesto Krauczuk” viewpoint, where they can observe the fauna and flora of this beautiful route. They continue along the dam, bordering Lake Yacyretá, where species such as the marsh deer, river otter, and maned wolf, declared Natural Monuments of Corrientes, can be seen. More than 250 species of birds, 26 mammals, 40 amphibians, and 35 reptiles inhabit this area.
Dates and Hours Guided tours are conducted every day, including weekends and holidays, at 8:00 am from the Yacyretá Visitors Center in the city of Ituzaingó, Corrientes province.
